Kevin was an amazing person. He lost his hearing at the age of 2 due to complications from menengitis. He never let that stop him. He was so determined to be like everyone else, but what he didn't know was that he was truly a light and a blessing to everyone that met him. He left such an impression with people that nearly 1,000 people attended his viewing. His smile said more than any words could say, and his eyes were so kind and gentle.

Kevin worked at the local Food Lion for nearly 17 years. During those years he made so many friends, all he had to do was flash that brillant smile and how could you not love him. He never met a stranger. In fact Kevin and I never would have met if hadn't worked there. He touched more people than he will ever know.

He has such a love for his Lord. His relationship with the Lord was so special, I wish we could all have that kind of specialness with the Lord.
He lived his life not afraid to die because he knew what was beyond this life. Although we miss him dearly we know that he is in heaven and he
can hear and knows nothing of pain or sorrow.

Kevin was blessed with two wonderful loving parents , Troy and Carol who adored him, and would have done anything in this world for him. He was the baby of 7 siblings. Teresa Poole, who died at the age of 13, Kevin was only 2 at the time. Trenda Poole Watts, Malinda "Jo" Poole, Kenny Poole, Keith Poole, and Glenda Poole Stuart.  He also has 11 neices and nephews, Matthew, Jeremy, Lauren, Will, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Erin, Lindsey, Kenny, Callie, and Matt. They all love him and miss him so much he was the joy of the Poole family.

I was blessed enough to be his wife for 3wonderful years (though not nearly enough, a million years would not have been enough). We were actually together for almost 9(would've been 9 April 1st) years, and it was the happiest time in my life. I got to spend almost 9 years of my life with an Angel. He was my joy, my love , my all, and I miss him dearly. I can't wait for the day I can see him  again in heaven.

He was also blessed to have wonderful inlaws. My Mom and Dad, Sharon and Russell, and my brother Kevin. They love him like a son an brother. They couldn't have asked for a better man to love and marry their daughter.

Kevin love being outside, he was so happy when the weather would turn warm, he would always be outside cleaning his lawn mowers, or working on something, He hated being cooped up in the house when it was pretty outside.
He had this incredible ability. He could fix anything, he just had this special gift. He was so much smarter then he gave himself credit for. He was always determined to do things on his own, he was not in the least bit handicapped. His deafness was never and issue for him. He never used it as an excuse, and he never felt sorry for himself. He used the special gifts that God gave his to reach out to people.
So many people have told us that when they would see him in Food Lion, they had their own special way to talk with him, and he never forgot. People would sometimes go in there just to see his smile or get a hug  from him. 
We as his family never knew the extent of how many people he reached, and my never fully know. If his smily brought joy to only 1 person it was worth it, but God blessed him to bring that smile and gracious love to so many.
He especially showed that love to his family. He cared for all of them so deeply. He cherished every family get together, and moment he spent with them. We had a wonderful 4th of July celebration at our home last year. He was so proud that everyone came! We had so much fun that evening and Kevin and I got so much joy out of welcoming them to our home and seeing all their smiling faces.
Kevin's love will live on in all our hearts forever. We will celebreate the day we are all joined together in heaven to see our precious Angel again!
